100 year old forest, Lake Shannon, Skagit River

On our way home we stopped at an Interpretive center for a walk through a 100 year old forest. The trees were huge.

We thought we would check out Lake Shannon, but Baker Lake is so much prettier, and there wasn't any camping at Lake Shannon.

We had lunch on the Skagit River.

And had homemade organic ice cream here. Scott had Blueberry and I had Raspberry Chocolate Chip.

And Scott did a little more fishing on the Skagit River before we got home, unloaded the camping gear, took a shower, headed to Boomers Drive In for burgers, fries, rootbeer, and chocolate malts. Then to Fairhaven to the ferry terminal to watch the fireworks over the bay. A great day!

Hope your day was great too!
