A few random pics and goodbyes...

Tuesday my brother and his family and my mom took the ferry to Victoria for the day. Scott and I had taken it last year, and with my surgery Wednesday we decided not to go. (Pic above is beach combing on the beach at the rental house)
We stayed home and cleaned house, did laundry, and did a little clean out at the rental house. ( the pic above is of my step brother Chris's daughter Dannielle and Don)
My step dad Don left his morning around 7:00 am. (Pic above are my nephews Noah and Brayden)
Scott and I had a fantastic dinner at one of our favorite places in Fairhaven Dirty Dans, great Prime Rib and garlic mashed potato's, I had 6 layer chocolate cake for dessert too ( bad girl I know, LOL! But it was delish!) Pic above is me, my bro and sis.
I am ready for surgery! Back when I can! (pic is Dannielle)

Last Day Family reunion

After a breakfast of Blueberry waffles, sausage, and bacon we headed to Fairhaven to do a little shopping before Genna and Adam had to head out back to Nevada. Randy, Kim and the kids headed to Vancouver for the day. The picture above is my sisters girls Sydney and Ellie with Genna. The three of them exchanged necklaces, very cute. !
Last goodbye to my kids before they headed home. 
Spent the rest of the afternoon with my sister and her family and my mom and step dad at Lake Padden just down the street from our house.
The evening ended at Milegros Mexican restaurant in Fairhaven.  We were able to sit on the patio.

Scott then took the boys up for the last flight, and we all said our goodbyes to Matt and Becky who were leaving at 4:30 am.

It was a great weekend! I think everyone enjoyed themselves! I was exhausted! LOL! But loved it ALL!

Family Reunion day 3

Day 3 started with a photo shoot on the beach at the rental house. Scott traded a friend of ours who is a photographer for some flight time. He took pictures of each family and one of the whole gang! (pic is nephew Cooper, my sisters son)
Then it was time to look for more critters! My niece Kourtney found this crab.

We then headed up to Semiamoo Spit to look for sand dollars! One of my favorite things to do.

We had hoped to make it to Blaine to see the tall ships, but only got to see them sail out past us on their way to Bellingham. We finished the evening with dinner at the rental of Salmon, steak, chicken legs, asparagus, salad and more oysters and clams. Then went to Fairhaven for Gelato and a walk on the pier. I don't know how I did not get pictures! Oh well.... it was a great day!

Family Reunion day 2

Day two of our reunion we headed down to Chuckunut to  Larrabee State Park. We spent some time walking on the beach, bouldering, swimming, and hunting purple star fish and other critters.
Then we continued south to Deception Pass park. It was still foggy there at 12:30! But beautiful!
I did a fun little photo shoot with Genna and Justin! :)
After lunch we took the Deception Pass Boat tour. It is about an hour and soo much fun!
Next we went to LaConnor for a little shopping before heading back to the rental house for Burgers, hotdogs, BBQ beans, chips, and a special treat that Randy picked up of Oysters!

I didn't have any, but they did some raw and some BBQ'd, I hear they were yummy!

We finished the day with S'mores and a gorgeous sunset from the deck! Breathtaking! sigh!

I had grounded the hubby to NO flying unless it was family from Friday night until after my surgery on Wednesday, um he got off work at 5:00 pm and this is taken about 7:30 pm. He didn't have to wait too long did he?!
