I made a couple of chalkboards from my old laundry room cupboard doors.
We raffled them off at our Relay for Life booth.
So inspiring! And so Fun!

Friday afternoon I spent a couple hours in the craft cottage. I have a couple weddings this summer, so it was the perfect chance to get a couple gifts done. My favorite gift to give at a wedding is to frame the wedding invitation! I have been giving them as gifts for about 20 years! A friend of mine framed mine as a gift =) It still hangs on my wall.
I created a little 3x3 inch matching gift card to go with each one. This one is for one of my nieces. Her wedding will be so fun, a ranch and cowboy boots! Wish we were going to make it!
Loved her invitation, craft and black...
This one was really hard to photograph... recognize it? Yes! It is the same one we created last weekend.
I added my favorite little shimmery white flowers with a little clear rhinestone in the center, simple and elegant. The "love" and "always" stickers are glittery and came from JoAnn. (They come in white too). The "for your shower" and "for the newlyweds" stamps came from Stampin Up!
These were soo fun to create! Two different kind of weddings, but using the same elements to decorate each one to make them unique!

I have been adding a little summer decor around my home the last couple days...
I finally had a couple hours to get crafty in the craft cottage, so I completed my summer specimen art.
The papers are all from Stampin Up! One of my favorite paper packs.
I added a few pearl details to a couple of the butterflies. I am almost done with a coffee filter wreath I have been working on, I will post pics in a couple days!

Thanks for visiting today!

Craft Fail?!

A few weeks ago my friend Tandy and I got together to craft. We had both pinned a project we wanted to try so we thought why not do it together?! I picked up this huge spool of twine at Lowes!
We had a great morning winding our twine around large paper mache letters. Hers turned out wonderful! I love it.
Mine, not so much! I am headed out to the craft cottage today armed with more glue sticks to try to make this work! Wish me luck!

Fall leaf frame

I loved the fall leaf frame I made for the craft cottage so much I had to make a larger one for the mantel in the house. I used orange burlap behind it and added buttons. I placed in/on a 12x12 frame that I had already painted off white and distressed the edges on. Added more of the scrabble times with the edges inked with distress ink.

 Happy fall!

A gift for baby Gia.

I am headed to a shower for a friend this evening and wanted to do a special gift for the nursery. Since Gia is such a different name I thought letters spelling her name would be perfect!
Mama is doing her room in Winnie the Pooh with pink, white and yellow flowers and butterflies =) I looked through my stash and found some stickers I thought would be perfect.
I decided a Dollar Store butterfly would be perfect on the letter "i" with a rhinestone flight trail.
A few pieces of ribbon, ricrac and glittery flowers for the "G".
I hope mama and baby Gia enjoy my gift!

Thanks for stopping in today!

Canvas project, what do you think?

Sorry I've been MIA the last couple weeks! Lots going on! We did take some time to walk on the pier the other night at sunset... isn't it gorgeous?!? =)
I can't decide which I like best and thought I would get YOUR opinion... pink and brown???
Black and off white???
Or blue and brown??? I am definitely loving the layout and will use it again! The canvas size is huge 24x24 so the squares are each 8x8, I think I will add little doodads too like buttons, flowers or shells once I have decided on the color.

We have no plans for the weekend, yay! Just get to do what we feel like doing, when we feel like doing it... oh, except for Valentines Day. We did go to Outback last weekend to celebrate Valentines Day. We don't have an Outback in Bellingham, but there is one 15 minutes down the road in Burlington. I am cooking crab, baked potatoes and salad for Sunday... haven't decided on dessert yet. And a walk on the beach is a must, even if it rains! =D

Don't forget to leave a comment letting me know the color scheme you like! Have a great weekend!

Mini Photo Shoot projects

I have been having fun with the prints I had printed at Costco of Scott and I from our mini photo shoot! I had several prints made into 8x8 (like the one above). Treasury had an open house today so I was able to purchase a couple 24x24 canvases for $15.00 each. I am headed out shortly to see if I can find some paper to use to finish decorating the canvas, I am thinking 8x8 squares of decorative paper... hmm maybe a couple embellishments too? Buttons or seashells or something?
I picked these up this morning at Treasury too, not sure what I am going to do with them yet.
The above is a kit...
That is becoming this! Just waiting for it to finish drying and I will find a home for it. We are headed to my company Holiday Party this evening! Hope you are having a FUN day!

Valentine goodie sneak peeks!

Before I show you the sneak peeks of the Valentine goodies, I thought I would show you the other two notebooks. I could only find 2 of the rhinestone HOPE so I bought 1 metal HOPE. I LOVE them!
Here is a closeup of the metal one...
And the rhinestone one! Hard to choose which one I like better, so I will let Jessica and Amber pick first!
Above are some tags that will be going on the goodie bags. I ordered 500 from clearbags.com, they should be here sometime this week.

I am really pleased with my new camera! The closeup photos are SO much better than before!

Well, thats it for my weekend! Have a great week!

Relay for Life notebooks...

We started off the day with homemade whole wheat and honey pancakes, topped with my homemade blueberry syrup I canned this summer, and sausage.
Then I started working on these notebooks for Jessica, Amber and myself for Relay for Life this year. I was so happy when I went to Michael's last night because I found the HOPE rhinestones and the ribbon stamp. (Among other things ;))
I altered one of the purse calendars from Michael's to match our notebooks! And made a little pocket in the back of the notebook to keep it handy.
I had to add a matching pen!
I gave the notebook 3 sections using a divider punch I have. I am very pleased with how it turned out! Now I have two more to do!
When I went to Michael's last night I was so HAPPY to see the white photo boxes I needed to finish up the studio on sale 3 for $5.00! That is quite a savings from $4.49 each! I just need to find some time to finish organizing! LOL!
I used my 50% off coupon from last week to buy one of the shelves for the studio, and Scott and I went back this morning with 2 more coupons, again, just need to find the time to paint these up so Scott can put them on the wall for me!
Koko was trying to help with the crafting! She got a paper punch stuck on her nose, and was not happy that she could not get it off!
