An awful funny looking squirrel! hehe!

I haven't had any time to be crafty lately, hopefully this weekend though! *grin* I do want to share a picture of what I came home to yesterday. Our neighborhood deer decided he liked the squirrel food. He ate every last bit of it! He usually hangs around the neighborhood and eats the weeds and trees and *daydreams* about getting in the gates to eat the flowers, but today I guess he decided if squirrel food was good enough for the squirrels and the birds to argue over, it was good enough for him too!
Have a great day!

Flying over the San Juan Islands

I did not get to post yesterday, I had to get my mom to the shuttle stop early to catch the shuttle from Bellingham to Vancouver. Here are the pictures of our trip over the islands Monday night. It was the perfect time to go! We did not have a single bump.

We flew just up to the Canadian border, Victoria was just off to the right of us, we looked for whales but did not see any. The picutre above is Mt. Baker in the background.

Our personal tour guide and pilot! What a cutie!

We finished the night with Gelato in Fairhaven and watched the sunset from out front on a bench.

Have a great day!

Tennant Lake Hovander Park

Yesterday Scott, my mom and I visited Tennant Lake and Hovander Park in Ferndale. It was beautiful and warm :) Their is a Fragrance Garden there and a natural wildlife habitat. We did not make it to the farm.... I am hoping if my sis makes it in a couple weeks we will head to the farm. The pic is of the viewing tower.

This is a picture of the Fragrance Garden from the top of the viewing tower.

After dinner we walked on the pier and watched the sun set. It was a great day! Tonight we plan on having Scott fly us over the islands, it is a beautiful sun filled day today! YAY!

Have a great day!

Cornwall Park Rose Garden

Sorry I did not get to post yesterday, blogger was being difficult the couple times I tried to log in it would not let me.

My mom and I got to check out Cornwall Park Rose Garden, it is a little Rose garden, but very pretty. We found this one called 4th of July!

Since my mom has arrived we have already had dinner at Skylarks downtown Fairhaven, and Black Cherry icecream cones downtown Fairhaven.

Today we went to a couple used book stores, the Farmers Market downtown Bellingham, and had fish and chips at Jackies, downtown Fairhaven, mmm, good stuff! Tomorrow on our list of things to do is Homestead and Tennant Lake and find Edaleens Dairy, for some fresh icecream cones for .55 cents! And maybe a little stamping too! :)

Have a great day!

Gift set

I finished one of the gift sets that I was working on. I think it turned out okay. I was trying to keep it easy to mail, and easy to produce 8 of the same card. I used an old Papertrey Ink clear box to put them all in and added a pen to the set.
This is the set all packaged and ready to go

This is the inside and the envelope.
And this is what the actual card looks like. Very different colors for me to use, but I like it.
We had thunder and lightening storms all through the night last night and rain this morning. But, as they say, that is why Washington State is so green, all the rain! My mom will be here this afternoon... I hope the sun will pop out at least one day while she is here. And I just heard from my step-mom that my dad may be coming next week! Wow, we hardly ever get company! So nice to see family come to my house! This will be his first trip to Bellingham.

Have a great day!

Life colors

Here are a couple cards I did, I am trying to work with different colors than my "comfort" colors or as some would call "my life colors". Basicly we all have colors that are comforting to us and are pleasing to our eyes, but everyone is different, I have one friend who loves orange and two others that love red, white and blue. For me, pinks, lavenders, olive greens. I have a really hard time using these other colors, so I decided to first try it with some of my already tried and true layouts, I am now trying to do a couple of different layouts.... using these different colors. I'll post those tomorrow!

Have a great day!

P. S. my mom is coming tomorrow for a surprise trip, we just planned yesterday! Woohoo! I am so excited! We should have a fun weekend. I hope the weather stays warm and sunny so we can walk on the beach!

Graduation congratulations!

Two of Scott's nieces graduated this year, Arielle and Abigail! This is a picture of the card I did for each of them. Since both of their names start with an A. I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and used the Just Rite Monogram Stamper. Did not get to play as much last night as I had hoped, I'll be back tomorrow with some note card sets!

Have a great day!
