Deception Pass

Today we ventured down south a ways to Deception Pass for a boat tour that we had not taken the opportunity to go on yet. It was a perfect day to go! It was 74 degrees :) The picture was taken from the bridge looking down at the beach.

This is the view from the beach below. Their were lots of fisherman on the beach....and in boats. We found out they were fishing for Halibut, Cod and Shrimp. Earlier this week a 240 pound Halibut was caught.

This is the boat we took, we went under Deception Pass and Canoe Pass, out to Rosario Strait almost to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It is a very informative and fun ride! We highly recommend it if you live near Bellingham.

Koko even enjoyed her first boat ride... and she wasn't the only puppy on board!

We saw eagles and  harbor seals... on Thursday they got to see a small pod of 10 Orcas.
See the post above for the rest of our day.
Hope you had a great day too!
