More Justin and Genna's house! The inside...

Sorry, I am having difficulty getting Internet access here at Justin and Genna's and when I do have access it is very slow!
Here we go this is the kitchen and a glimpse into the laundry room.
Her new refrigerator and the pantry with slide out shelves, soo cool!
Standing in the kitchen looking into the dining room. Sliding glass door is on the right.
The man room! Haha! Becky is here with me so she is sleeping on the futon.
The guest room.
The guest bathroom.
Standing in the hallway where the man room, guest bedroom and bathroom are looking toward the master bedroom, kitchen and living room.
Standing at the front door, the master is on the right.
Looking toward the dining room from the front door.
The living room with Genna and Becky chatting on the couch! Haha!
Becky and Genna in the living room.
The detailing on the living room ceiling, makes the room light and bright!
Our yummy dinner with Becky, steak topped with Gorgonzola cheese, shrimp cocktails, salad and broccoli. Poor Justin has salmonella so he is in bed very sick =(

So this is what the house looked like when I arrived last week. I am now painting the living room two walls done next will be the dining room and then the kitchen! So much fun!

Had a great weekend with Adam and Lacy too! I will be back with more soon! (If the internet cooperates! Hehe!)

Leaking pipe, digging a hole...

Sorry, didn't mean to disappear got busy. My sister and I are now in Nevada City. We are visiting my dad and nieces and nephews and helping my step mom finish packing up the rest of my grandma's house so they can get it put on the market.

Anyway, about 30 minutes after Genna and Justin got home from work (Monday) after I made it to Reno in my broken rental truck, Justin noticed a pipe near the front of the house was leaking. So after we unloaded the truck Justin started digging. Remember, they have only been in this house not even 2 weeks!)
Justin dug a 4 foot deep hole between the house and the sidewalk. Genna had to go down into the hole to take a closer look at the water squirting out of the pipe. Justin wouldn't fit!!!
Let me just say, Genna was NOT happy!
Haha! I had to grab my camera and take pictures of her in the hole! Justin accidentally broke a nozzle when he was trying to turn the water off... oops! Genna wasn't happy about that either!
When she came out of the hole she was filthy, and had a scrapped her belly. Justin made several trips to the hardware store, but as the night went on he began feeling not so good. Finally at about 9:00 pm it was dark, we had pulled him out of the hole a few times and the leak we hoped, was temporarily fixed for the night. So he turned the water back on so he and Genna could take showers. The water began leaking again... so the water was turned off again. It was decided a plumber would be called first thing in the morning. Poor Justin got sicker and sicker as the night went on and about 1:30 am Genna was outside turning the water back on because poor Justin has the FLU. She went out and turned the water on and off several times through the night.
The plumber came the next morning and fixed them all up. Poor Justin still has the flu today (thursday)
I will post pictures of Genna's house next!

On the road to Reno

Here is a quick picture of the dried seashell project in the back yard! I LOVE it!
It looks so awesome in real life! Definitely try this if you have a spot you need to put concrete, I am thinking I may do some stepping stones this way too!
This is my guest bedroom... my family room looks about the same! I loaded all the furniture into the U-haul to bring to Genna!
Said goodbye to my sweet hubby...
and hit the road!
Had my ice chest, with my lunch packed into it, my overnight bag and Koko!
We had 15 hours ahead of us! Ugh!
We got about an hour into our drive and I heard clunk clunk. I pulled over and realized the running light(?) was hanging down by the wiring. When we picked up the truck we noticed that it had 2 pieces of tape attached to it. I guess that should have been a clue! LOL! I put it back in and drove down the road... next thing I know I am playing charades with the car in front of me to tell me it is dangling again! I pull over again and fix it! Fifteen minutes later I hear clunk clunk again. I happen to notice a Home Depot at the next exit so I pulled off, of course it is in the 90's and it is only Koko and I so I find a parking place under a tree, run inside ask the first person I see where to find Duct tape, do self pay, and run back to the truck. I duct tape the HECK out of that light! Okay, now we're talkin'. I start driving down the road thinking problem is fixed. Duct tape fixes everything right?! Uh no, half an hour later I am playing charades again! I pull off at the next exit to duct tape it more... but I happen to pull off at an exit that is only for military personnel. OOPS! By this time I am in tears, the poor guard is looking at the light looking at me, I am trying to explain with big tears rolling down my cheeks, he helps me duct tape the HECK out of it... and I continue down the road.
It is a gorgeous day!
I decide I am going to stop in Eugene for the night, since I had such a rough start to the trip. That way I can relax a bit and post on the blogarooni. Well, got to Eugene and decided it was too early to stop, so I continued onto Klamath Falls, which was actually a little too far. I am not a good night driver and top it off with semi trucks and huge RV's and being on the road for 11 1/2 hours! So no blog post last night... got in at 11:00 and was exhausted!

I knew I was in Nevada when the GPS showed me I was driving next to a lake...
Umm, do you see a lake??? Nope me neither!

Still a lake???
Nope still don't see any water! LOL! Only in Nevada!
Everytime I stopped for fuel I had to duct tape the silly light! But we made it! Whew!
Welcome to Genna and Justin's house. Boy have I got a post for you tomorrow night! Hehe!

Have a good one!

The truck is loaded and my bag is almost packed!

Today the hubby and I finished one of the projects on my list for the back yard. He mixed up some concrete and I set seashells and beach glass into it. I was inspired by one of the Relay for Life garden tour homes last year.
It turned out fabulous! I will take a better picture when it dries!
We picked up the truck rental this morning, a 10 footer!
We loaded it in a couple hours! Woohoo! All this is going to Genna's new house! Most of it is hers anyway! Hehe!
My bag is almost packed! We will be gone for over 2 weeks! While I am there I will get the chance to see my dad, stepmom, nieces and nephews, my sister and my son! I will post some pics of her new house when I get there. It is a LONG drive... but so worth it!
