Visit in SLC

The hubby and I flew to Salt Lake City last Wednesday to take care of some business on Thursday, then babysat my 2 nieces and 2 nephews for my sis and her hubby. They did a 24 hour marathon... above is a pic of their "decorations" for the van they drove... the Ghizwalds from the movie vacation and their last name is Ghiz Heehee! =D
Instead of a rocking chair and grandma on the roof a baby in a car seat! Ha!
This is Noah, he baked us muffins two mornings in a row. Lemon poppy seed above and blueberry! Yummo!
This is Ellie, such a cutie!
This is Sydney, adorable!
Noah again playing basketball! The sun was so bright! They have a beautiful view of the hills behind their house.
Sydney practicing for her piano recital.
My sister made these amazing inspiration boards, I want one. This one is hers for her craft room. I forgot to take pics of Sydney and Ellie's boards but they are just as cute! You can see Izzy in the background waiting for them to return from the marathon.
A close up of one of the corners, soo so cute! We had such a great time in Salt Lake City! My sis does have another son, Copper but we didn't see much of him. Cooper is very quiet, but such a handsome guy. I am looking forward to seeing them all again in the next couple months. Saw my brother and his family too, but didn't take any pics :( and had the opportunity to see my sweet cousin and her hubby too!

Nice to be home again, if only for 11 days! We leave for Mexico next Tuesday, so excited!!!

Craft Sneek peek...

Yesterday I was able to get into the craft studio for a couple hours. I did have to clean up from the last time I was in there... before I left for my Grandmas house... I am working on a mini album for a friend who is leaving for Alaska.
She has already sent out her address where she will be working, so I will mail this off to her before she gets there.
Maybe with some homemade cookies!

She will be able to just insert some pics, and write some journaling and it will be done! I hope she likes it!
Koko got a haircut yesterday... so cute! We are considering getting a playmate for her!
I also finally broke down and bought her a name tag! Well, I guess I should clean, do laundry, and start packing for our next trip on Wednesday!

Have a great week!

Date with hubby to Friday Harbor

Scott came home from work early today! It was an absolutely gorgeous day, so he suggested we fly to Friday Harbor for an early dinner *grin* (the photo above is Bellingham)
The flight was beautiful! A little bouncy, but luckily it is a short flight!
We both marveled at our being so lucky to live in such a beautiful area of the world!
Ahhh, Friday Harbor.... if you have never been, you must! It is such a quaint little town, I would so LOVE to live here! Hmmm, Bed and Breakfast maybe??? Or sailboat???
I have such a fascination with the ferry's I really enjoy watching them come in and go out. I think I may ask my mama if she would like to try to go next year to Alaska on the ferry.
My handsome pilot and date =D I am so lucky!
We sat outside and ate our dinner, watched 2 ferry's come in and go out, watched numerous seaplanes land and take off. I had the best fish tacos, Scott had prime rib. As we were sitting enjoying the sites we overheard one table of diners talking to another table about their flight over... they had both flown over for dinner as well, but from Port Angeles! hehe! Guess we weren't the only ones to enjoy the beauty of the day!
The flight home was smooth as glass! I end up taking so many pictures when I am in the air! The flight itself is maybe 15 minutes each way, I took 84 pictures! LOL! I do take the pictures through the window, so their is a little glare usually, sorry.
Mt. Baker behind Bellingham...
Back home again! We did take a look at an airplane while we were in Friday Harbor, if I had a nickel for every airplane my hubby looks to buy I would be a very wealthy woman! LOL! We shall see... hope you enjoyed your Saturday!

Home Sweet Home =)

I am finally home after being gone for 3 weeks! I really missed MY house! I missed Bellingham too! The hubby and I went for a walk...
to one of my very favorite places in Bellingham! Zuanich Point Marina! I missed the sailboats, the smell of the sea, all the water around me, it's sooo good to be home, even if it is only for 5 days!
Hoping to spend some time tomorrow in the craft studio and the yard, the hubby is working most of the weekend so he can go to Salt Lake City with me next week.
*Sniff* can you smell the sea? Doesn't it smell WONDERFUL! *smile* Have a great evening! See you back here tomorrow!

I had them ride this ride for Uncle Scott! hehe!
This is Colton.
We made Colton go into the butterfly exhibit! It was so neat to walk among so many butterflies!
This is Morgan.
Heading over to Genna's house Saturday after Trinity's graduation!

Have a great weekend!

Memorial Day weekend 2010

View from Dads front yard

I have spent the last few weeks visiting at my Dads house. As you know my Grandma (my dad's mom) passed away. My brother and his family, my sister and her family, and Adam, Genna and Justin all came for a visit over Memorial Weekend. It was so much fun! But I have NO pictures! My mind has been elsewhere lately.
The weather cooperated, it was sunny and warm so everyone could use the pool and the hot tub.
We did get pictures at grandmas house. Above is my brothers family.
My sisters family.
And my family! Minus Jestin =(

I have really enjoyed being able to spend time with my dad, stepmom, nieces and nephews, I have had the opportunity to take my time going through grandmas belongings, reflecting on the objects I come across. Items she made, things she wore, stories she told about the things she loved in her home. It will be hard to drive by her house and know grandma is not there anymore, but she is soo happy to be with grandpa that it is hard to be too sad.
