A few surprises for me!

I received a few surprises this week! My sis sent me a goodie bag of goodies to craft with!
I used one of the tags on this jar of peanut m&ms I keep in the studio!
I had hoped to have more time to play with more of it, but time once again got away from me! The hubby was planning on being home Friday March 19, but that didn't happen. =( Hoping now that he will be home Tuesday?!? Keep your fingers crossed, it will be 4 weeks tomorrow! Thats a LONG time!
My friend Jessica gave me this awesome little bag, and these cute buttons! I {heart} them! Thanks Jessica!

Relay for Life St. Patrick's Day goodie

I realized I hadn't posted the St. Patrick's Day goodies I made to sell at work for Relay for Life. I only made 30 since most people don't really give goodies for St. Patrick's day, they ALL sold tho! I made 15 also for nieces and nephews when I went to Salt Lake City, just because that's how I roll! Haha!

This weekend I will be working on Easter ones, I think they will be popular so I am making about 75! Wish me luck!

Spring Cleaning and organizing 2010

Didn't mean to disappear like that again! Sometimes I just don't know where the time goes! Ha!
Anyway, last weekend I began this project, and this weekend I am almost done with it and ready to move onto something else. When I moved my studio into the bedroom I hadn't cleaned out the inside of the entertainment center.
All of this and MORE came out of the entertainment center and a plastic isis cart.
Now it looks like this inside the entertainment center...
And the isis cart...
empty! Feels so good to get all that sorted and organized!

I will be back with a few more posts! Hope you had a great week!

A day of crafting...

After yesterdays sunshine and warm temps, this morning we woke up to grey skies and sprinkles! So glad we saw the daffodils yesterday :) But the grey day made it easier to just craft ALL day!
When I was in Salt Lake City my sister took me to a quilting shop... I LOVE fabric! Anyway, I had seen these and wanted to make a few for myself and for gifts!
What do you think? Can you figure out who some of these may be for??? Hmm, mushrooms??Flowers???
I am going to add some of these Urban flowers on a few of them, and maybe a few buttons too! :)
I also picked a few fabrics to make some of these fabric flowers for cards, and also to put on some clothes pins.
I made 9 of these cards. So easy, found the idea here.
A close up of each style, I used a 12x12 sheet of decorator paper, so I have 3 of each style.
I will be making a few more of these with a couple other sheets of DP that I found.
This one is my favorite!
I got to use my new punch to make these cards, I made 3 of each style of these.
Sponged the edges like I saw my sister do when I was visiting. We got to spend a couple hours in her craft studio using her Bind-it-All. I have decided I need one! Haha!

I am not sure I have enough buttons! What do you think??? Hehe, I just got a new order of them, I bought the little antique sherbet dishes when we were in LaConnor yesterday. What was I thinking to only buy 3??? I see another trip soon!
I guess thats what happens when I try not to buy anything for myself! I think they had a set of 12.
This is where Koko spent the day...
I had to put the blanket there, otherwise she wanted to lay in my lap!
But the blanket was in front of this... which made her a happy puppy! :)

The hubby has been gone 2 weeks tomorrow :( I think the longest we have ever been apart. I am hoping to see his sweet face around March 16-18??? Otherwise I will head down to Miami to see him, Boston is too cold! Love and miss you honey :)

Hope you had an enjoyable weekend too!

Salt Lake City visit February 2010

Last weekend I flew to Salt Lake City to visit my BFF or bestie Kari, and my sister Becky. Some how I got NO pictures with Kari??? Not sure how that happened. So you will just have to trust me, we had a great time! We had a great dinner at The Melting Pot, coffee, a couple spa treatments, coffee, and shopping! Oh, and some really scruptious fish tacos! Yum! Thanks Kari, next time I will stay longer for sure!
Then I headed to my sisters house... this is Izzy isn't she a cutie?!
My mom and son Adam met me in Salt Lake also, which was fun! This is Sydney, she is working on her scrapbook! :)
Noah skateboarding! :)
My sister Becky, Sydney, brother in law Matt, Ellie and part of my momma!
There's my momma, Ellie, Adam and his girlfriend Lacey!
My nieces Kourtney and Ellie eating peanuts and waiting for our table to be ready at Texas Roadhouse. Thank You again Matt for a great dinner!
Adam and Lacey.
The poker players! beginning at the head of the table Noah, Cooper, Brayden, Sydney, Ellie, Lacey, and Adam.
Cooper cooked us ALL breakfast of waffles Sunday morning! So yummy!
Waiting for the waffles to be ready. Lots of topping for them too, fresh fruit, whipped cream, Nutella, syrups!
Becky made cranberry scones both mornings too! My favorite! Thanks Becky! My next trip I could so spend a week with each of them!

Daffodils 2010

My friend Andrea and I decided to head down to Mt. Vernon and check out the daffodils, do a little shopping in LaConnor and have lunch! This is one of the first fields we found in bloom! It was a perfect day to view the daffodils! :) But we discovered the daffodil fields do not welcome visitors like the tulip fields do.
We were greeted with no trespassing signs everywhere we went!!! :( We were not the only ones trying to walk through the daffodil fields. (That is Mt. Baker in the background)
So pretty!
After trying to walk through several fields and only being met with no trespassing we headed to LaConnor for shopping. I needed to pick up Genna's birthday present... We of course had to have lunch on the water! :)
LaConnor is just beginning to spruce things up for the crowds of the Tulip Festival. It is starting 6 days early this year because of the warm weather we've been experiencing! Woohoo!

These guys kept talking to us as we were eating our lunch, they seemed to quiet down once I snapped their picture! Haha!
Rhodies and Azaleas are blooming all over Bellingham too! These were in LaConnor. Love them!
This was some funky car parked downtown LaConnor. Those are shoes attached to the top!
One last field before heading home! This is Andrea, she works with me at MBI and is also my furbaby sitter and house sitter :) Thanks for going with me girl!
Trespassing sign??? Oh, I guess we didn't see it??? Hehehe! So worth it! Wish you were here!
Koko did not get to stroll through the daffodils, she had to sit in the car while we "broke the law" and trespassed for the pics above.

I'll be back later with some pics of my trip to Salt Lake City!
