Sunset at Boulevard Park

Tonight we took my mom to Boulevard Park to watch the sun set... one of my favorite places and favorite times of the day! I will just let the pictures tell the story =)

I hope you stopped to watch the sunset where ever you are! Should be a perfect week!

A day with Jessica :)

My friend Jessica and I got to spend the day together! We went to one of my favorite places in Fairhaven for tea and scones, Abby Tea Garden!
This is Jessica, sipping her Chai tea (they make the best Chai, IMHO!) and admiring her lovely lunch of tea sandwiches, fruit and a scone!
I tried to behave and had the tomato lentil soup! Yummy! But, I did have the Chai tea and a scone too!
The scone was yummy too!
I LOVE the way they mix and match different china patterns!

We spent the rest of the day shopping! We walked through Fairhaven to a few different shops, then dove to Paper Zone to check out the paper products. We have quite a few projects to work on for Relay For Life this year, starting with Valentine goodies! We hit JoAnn fabrics and then went to Barleans for fresh Salmon. It was a great day! Next time maybe Sarah can come?!? Oh and I guess I should let Jessica pick out a few places she wants to go to ;) Thanks Jessica!
After my fun day shopping with Jessica, the hubby and I went for a walk around Lake Padden.
We are still having very mild temperatures, it was in the high 50's today.

After our walk we cooked the Salmon from Barleans for dinner on the BBQ with some fresh carrots and snowpeas... then I went to Michaels :) didn't realize they were having a great sale too! I'll be back with that post later!

Have a great Sunday!

Visit from my BFF!

My best friend came to visit me last weekend! It was nice to have her here. We went and had tea at Abbey Tea Garden, one of my favorite places in Fairhaven!
The autumn color was showing off! It was a perfect fall day. I had the chance to go to some of the shops in Fairhaven that I hadn't gone into yet, so that was fun!
We also had the chance to go to a new restaurant Scott and I had been wanting to try in Birch Bay... it was delish, in fact I think the clam chowder is even better than our other favorite restaurant, and remember I am not a HUGE fan of clam chowder!
It was an absolute perfect weekend in the Pacific Northwest!

Also, need to say Happy Birthday to my mama! Thats her and my step dad in the picture below!
Love you mom!

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Last night I met a couple friends at the hubby's and my favorite restaurant Skylarks. My friend Jessica was celebrating a birthday. (She is in the middle in the picture above) My other friend Amber went too!

After dinner we went next door to CreativiTEA, yay! I have been wanting to go ever since I moved to Bellingham, but didn't want to drag the hubby there kicking and screaming, hehe!
I picked my latte mug, my paints, and my stamps...
Jessica ordered tea for us! She always thinks of everything! It was really good too. Thank you Jessica!
They have LOTS of pottery to choose from. I can't wait to go again!
Amber painted a purple ring holder...
Jessica painted a black coffee cup with purple sponged over it...
And I sponged my latte mug two colors of blue, stamped some seashell shapes in blue and then sponged some starfish salmon color in a few spots here and there.
Can't wait till Saturday when we can pick them up and see how they turned out! Thank you so much girls for inviting me! I LOVED spending time with you and can't wait to do it again, when are we making soap???

Hope you had a creative evening with friends too!

Goodbye Kelsey, Welcome home Jessica

I made this frame and card for my friend and coworker Kelsey. She is leaving to go to school in Seattle. I will miss her. She is very sweet and smart! Good luck Kelsey! See you at Christmas :)
I made this frame and card for my friend and coworker Jessica. She and her sweet hubby just bought a new house up at Birch Bay!
When I came home from work yesterday at lunch, I found this cutie visiting Koko. Koko was not happy he was in her yard!

I am working on some house painting projects today... and hope to make a trip to the scrapbook store too. I ordered some syrup bottles online last night. My friend and coworker Kathi brought me a HUGE plastic box of blueberries yesterday! So I am going to freeze some, and make syrup for Christmas presents with the rest! I may need to make a few little pies too, she brought me alot, I will take a picture and post it later!

Looking forward to another beautiful sunny day in the Pacific Northwest! Hubby is flying all day but will take a walk on the beach later this afternoon!

Alaska Ferry boarding

Last night mom and I decided to go down to the ferry terminal in Fairhaven to watch the Alaska Ferry board.
It is amazing how many semi trucks, u haul trucks, cars, motorcycles and walk on passengers fit on that boat! It departs every Friday night at 6:00 pm  and returns Friday mornings at 8:00 am. It would take us to Skagway and back.
We decided we would like to do this someday. Maybe next summer? See the tents on the top, we want to stay in a tent, sleeping bag, bring an ice chest, and just go for a week. Doesn't that sound fun? We think so!
The funny thing is.... it would cost more to do this, than it would to be on a cruise, with a stateroom, and all the food and beverages included! Which would you choose?
We still think we choose this.... crazy I know. Wanna go? We'll share our tent!

Trying to decide how to spend the rest of my day!

Last Day Family reunion

After a breakfast of Blueberry waffles, sausage, and bacon we headed to Fairhaven to do a little shopping before Genna and Adam had to head out back to Nevada. Randy, Kim and the kids headed to Vancouver for the day. The picture above is my sisters girls Sydney and Ellie with Genna. The three of them exchanged necklaces, very cute. !
Last goodbye to my kids before they headed home.
Spent the rest of the afternoon with my sister and her family and my mom and step dad at Lake Padden just down the street from our house.
The evening ended at Milegros Mexican restaurant in Fairhaven.  We were able to sit on the patio.

My sisters family.
My step brothers family.
Randy and his family made it back just in time for dinner, which was great!
My mom and Don.
Scott and I.

Scott then took the boys up for the last flight, and we all said our goodbyes to Matt and Becky who were leaving at 4:30 am.

It was a great weekend! I think everyone enjoyed themselves! I was exhausted! LOL! But loved it ALL!
