Relay for Life plant sale

We have a sweet friend that just had her second child so we headed down to Oak Harbor to see the new baby and visit!
I made a little card and attached it to the diaper bag with one of my paper flower clothespins =) Congratulations Amanda!
Today I had the opportunity to go to the Relay for Life plant sale! A co-worker from MBI where I "retired" from has 5 acres of pure plant bliss!
We got to wander through acres of flowers and dig up what we wanted or just buy some pots that she and her hubby had already dug up!
Oh HI Jessica! *waving and jumping up and down* nice to see you!
I shopped with this plant bed in mind, I just recently had weeded it out and planted a Bleeding Heart and the two Coreopsis, I bought a Clematis to climb up the tree, should be soo pretty, a couple grasses, a few Iris (love the variegated) and a couple Hostas. I need to add a little mulch and I think this area is done till next year!

Bought this basket of pretty variegated foliage and white flowers.
Also bought this pretty basket of succulents and others interesting plants.
Lastly I bought a grass and some ground cover to plant by the pond. What is that in the pond?!? Look a little closer...
A snake!!! It spent ALL day in the pond. I haven't had a snake IN the pond before, I am still trying to research what kind it is... any ideas?

Hope you had a chance to enjoy the outdoors today! I picked up my mom from the airport tonight! She is going to stay with Miss Koko while we head to Mexico! Thanks Mom :0)

Laundry Room organization part two

Remember a while back I told you how easily I get distracted from one project to another... well while organizing my laundry "room" I started pulling some of the linens out of this upstairs linen closet to put in my new organized space...
Ummm, it's not quite done because....
the hubby was outside with this! Yummy! I know I am not supposed to eat that stuff, but every once in a while it won't hurt!
You can't beat a fire in the front yard with the hubby, Koko and smores! *Sigh*
Wish you were here so you could have one too!
And then I started to do this project in the middle of the other uhh two! Please tell me I am NOT the only one to do these things! Heehee!
The laundry room is now organized and I LOVE it! I had to make a few little tags to label my boxes.
I didn't like the look of the water knobs for the washer so I covered them...
Added a few favorite things, found the cute sign at TJ Maxx for $7.00! It is embroidered!
The embroidered bag and the picture came from my grandmas house.
I love the poem! =)
I needed a cute spot to hide the fabric sheets etc... so I used a basket and labeled it as well.
The hubby will not let me cover the water heater...
so I will just say this is the finished project!
The boxes were on sale at IKEA for $5.99 for 2 while they are not my first choice they were affordable.
Now I am off to finish the other 2 projects and spend some time in my craft room! Have a great day!

Laundry room reorganization part one

Behind these ugly doors in my family room, in the basement is...
my laundry area! It is first on my organization list. I have decided to get organized and redecorate my family room after 3 years here! So here we go!
It is ALL emptied out YAY!
I decided to use Martha Stewart enamelware in an eggshell, from Home Depot. Such a gorgeous yummy color!
I repainted the shelves white and the ceiling to help make it as bright as possible in there. I am painting the family room the same color! I'll be back with more later!

Visit in SLC

The hubby and I flew to Salt Lake City last Wednesday to take care of some business on Thursday, then babysat my 2 nieces and 2 nephews for my sis and her hubby. They did a 24 hour marathon... above is a pic of their "decorations" for the van they drove... the Ghizwalds from the movie vacation and their last name is Ghiz Heehee! =D
Instead of a rocking chair and grandma on the roof a baby in a car seat! Ha!
This is Noah, he baked us muffins two mornings in a row. Lemon poppy seed above and blueberry! Yummo!
This is Ellie, such a cutie!
This is Sydney, adorable!
Noah again playing basketball! The sun was so bright! They have a beautiful view of the hills behind their house.
Sydney practicing for her piano recital.
My sister made these amazing inspiration boards, I want one. This one is hers for her craft room. I forgot to take pics of Sydney and Ellie's boards but they are just as cute! You can see Izzy in the background waiting for them to return from the marathon.
A close up of one of the corners, soo so cute! We had such a great time in Salt Lake City! My sis does have another son, Copper but we didn't see much of him. Cooper is very quiet, but such a handsome guy. I am looking forward to seeing them all again in the next couple months. Saw my brother and his family too, but didn't take any pics :( and had the opportunity to see my sweet cousin and her hubby too!

Nice to be home again, if only for 11 days! We leave for Mexico next Tuesday, so excited!!!

Craft Sneek peek...

Yesterday I was able to get into the craft studio for a couple hours. I did have to clean up from the last time I was in there... before I left for my Grandmas house... I am working on a mini album for a friend who is leaving for Alaska.
She has already sent out her address where she will be working, so I will mail this off to her before she gets there.
Maybe with some homemade cookies!

She will be able to just insert some pics, and write some journaling and it will be done! I hope she likes it!
Koko got a haircut yesterday... so cute! We are considering getting a playmate for her!
I also finally broke down and bought her a name tag! Well, I guess I should clean, do laundry, and start packing for our next trip on Wednesday!

Have a great week!
