Lake Samish

We spent Sunday afternoon on Lake Samish which is about 3 miles down the road from our house. It was a perfect day, the hottest we have seen since moving here, 86 degrees! woohoo! This is a picture of Jett wearing his new life vest, isn't he cute? He loved it! Jett is a new daddy to 4 puppies born Friday night so his mama, Dedra thought he should get away for the day... I am sure that his missus, Bella was not happy with him! heheh! I am hoping one of those puppies will be coming to my house. I haven't gotten the okay from my hubby, yet! *wink*

This is a picture of Scott, my hubby, trying to wake board.... he was not successful, but that's okay he looked good trying. *grin* Good job babe! Better luck next time!

And this is a pic of my friend Dedra pulling her son Kyle behind the boat, he will only let his mama drive while he is boarding he doesn't like to go too fast.

Well, that was our Sunday. I will be back tomorrow with some cards to show you.
Have a great day!

Roses!

They told me when I moved to Bellingham I could not grow roses here..... hhmmm, I think that is a rose in the picture, and it's at my house, and that is my hand next to it. Yes, the rose is the size of my hand! I am glad I did not listen to them. I planted 3 rose bushes last year, the other 2 are just getting ready to bloom.

This is a wild flower here in Bellingham, aren't they pretty? They are all over along with little yellow buttercups, and wild pink roses. So pretty.

This is my frog, that lives in and around my pond. I gave him some friends yesterday. I got 4 goldfish for the pond. I should have taken a picture when they were in the bag, cause they are very shy.

It has been just beautiful the last few days, high of 85 with a nice little breeze off the bay. We are headed to the lake to go boating with our friends Dedra and Mark. I'll post some pics later...

Have a beautiful, sunny day!

First Stampin Up! workshop

I held my first Stampin Up! workshop, it wasn't a total flop! We all had a great time. My friend Dedra, who normally does not do crafty things (so she says anyway *wink*) even participated and she claims she had a good time. We mostly enjoyed just being together I think. We always have fun together. LOL!! Anyway, they said they would be back next month, of course, I ran out of batteries before they arrived so I have no proof, I mean, pictures of our fun! How could we not have fun with chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne involved! hehe! These are the projects we did....

Matchbook card holds yummy goodies!

It is a fantastic evening, I am hoping to get a picture of the sunset. It won't be as great as the sunset my hubby Scott will see, he is flying a photographer over the San Juan's to Vancouver BC to take some pics of a boat. It should be gorgeous. I wish I was better at flying in those little 4 seater planes, I thought about having a couple glasses of wine and then going, but who am I kidding I would need a bottle and then I would just sleep through the whole thing!!!!

Have a great evening!

Summer?

Has summer finally arrived in the Pacific Northwest? We woke up to a spectacular blue sky and sun shining morning! Yay! I guess the top will finally go down on my car!

This is the view of Bellingham Bay from my back yard. Love it. I sat on the back porch and watched the birds and squirrels argue over the food and drank my coffee.

Yesterday was Jestin's Birthday, Happy Birthday Jes! He decided he wanted Sloppy Joes for dinner with spinach salad and Brownies for dessert. So, that is what he got. But, somehow one of my bags of groceries did not make it home with me a couple days ago, so the birthday napkins and carrots (I haven't missed anything else yet) did not make it home. So, I improvised. Don't know why I forgot I could make my own?! I will be doing that from now on! So simple and cheap!

Have a great day!

Working weekend

I have nothing new to show you because, I had 2 days of yard work this weekend! And still have another day to finish it up! Ugh! Actually, it was very rewarding, my yard looks much better! So, I will be back later with a picture of my make and takes for my first Stampin Up! workshop on Wednesday! And a list of the appetizers I will serve. I was going to add a picture, but blogger won't let me at the moment, so hopefully it will be fixed when I return later! Have a great afternoon!

This is a picture of my handsome son Adam.

And this is a picture of my handsome stepson Jestin.

Have a great evening!

Home Sweet Home

We are back home from our wonderful trip! The weather could not have been more perfect. It was nice to be warm, LOL! the weather here in Bellingham has not been cooperating lately.

Anyway, when I left I was going to post my little goodies for my neices and nephews that I had done and ran out of time so here they are.

They are very simple, I knew they would just get ripped open and thrown away, but wanted to make something for each of them.

I'll be back later with another post.

Have a great day!

Weekend away!

Good morning! We are headed out of town for the weekend! Yay! It has been a while since we got away! My beautiful sister and her family have arrived back in the states after 4 years in Italy! So we are all gathering to say "welcome home"! We will all be there Adam and Genna and my brother and his family, my step brother and his family! Will be loads of fun! Oh, of course mom and step dad too! LOL! Can't wait! I am of course trying to finish up a couple last minute projects to take with me for my nieces and nephews and still have to finish Scott's father's day card! I did finish my dad and Scott's dad's cards and sent them off yesterday! I just kept them very simple..... so I won't post them here, but I will post a little note book I coverd this morning that will fit in my purse. I am a Huge list person and thought this would keep me a little more focused on projects and items on my wish list!

I will be back later today with a post of what I did with these!
Have a great day!

My creative corner

I am about to re-organize my stampin, creative space and thought I would post a before picture here. When I get done I will post the after. Originally, I was going to take one of the spare bedrooms, but it has been taken temporarily by Jestin, so I will re-organize for now and hopefully move into the bedroom in the fall. Have a great day!

Onsie Tin

Good Morning! I wanted to show you how I packaged the onsies for Scott's co-worker.
This is just a tin I thought was too cute to throw away, I don't remember what came in it! LOL!

This is the front of the tin-

This is the back of the tin, I used the same stamp set I used on the onsie. I am very happy with how it all came out. I got the idea for the onsie from a blog I read Taylored Expressions.

Thanks for stopping in today! Have a great day!

Gift Set

This is a gift set I did for Scott's boss for her birthday. The tote holds 8 cards, I left them blank so she could use them for any occasion, a note book, pen and of course some chocolate! That's it for this morning, I'll be back with more this afternoon! Have a great day!

Onsie closeup

Here is a closeup of one of the onsies, maybe I will add a sentiment underneath the cute bunny, what do you think? Sorry the picture is a little blurred, gotta work on taking those pictures I guess! Have a great day!

Baby frame and onsies gift

Wow, I can't believe it has been over a month since my last post! I will try to post a little more often! I have been crafty in the last month however, so I will probably spend a little time posting all the fun projects I have been working on! Plus, I am now a Stampin Up! demo! I have wanted to do this for several years, and finally took the plunge!

The first project I will show you today is a name frame I created for one of Scott's co-workers and some onsies. For the onsies I used the Stampin Up! stamp A new little someone with black Stazon and some flannel fabric I got at JoAnns. I think they turned out adorable! I will have to add the recipe later and I will show you how I packaged the onsies too! Gotta run! Have a great day!
