Whatcom Falls Park

We took Koko for a walk at Whatcom Falls Park last Sunday, it was a beautiful clear day. I haven't spent any time crafting lately! I am spending too much time on my new laptop. This weekend we are headed to Walla Walla for a funeral. I do have a couple projects I HAVE to COMPLETE next week.... so I will post them here.

Rain, rain go away!

We took Koko for a walk on Saturday in the rain. We have had problems with flooding here in Whatcom County. It has been devastating for so many. The trails around Lake Padden were little creeks everywhere we walked. 

My card organizer is a little fuller after Sunday! Yay! My hubby had to spend the night in Bremerton, but made it home Monday about 11:30 a.m. 


This is the inside of the idea book that I have been writing in. This is one of my ideas for the "inspiration" for my stamp/craft room.

Projects, ideas, cards....

I decorated the front of a cute little note book (idea log) I found at Office Max the other day when hubby and  I were there picking up a couple other things. (Am I the only one that can go to an office supply store and spend $15.00 for 3 notebooks?:D My hubby wanted to know why one was not enough.... well umm, because.... they are each for a different list, of course! ) Anyway, this one is for ideas, I will show you the inside later, I have been writing down my ideas on my craft/stamp room. I will show you the other 2 later also!
This is one of the projects I need to COMPLETE. I have been working on it for months... just is not coming together the way I want it to, I have tried to add buttons, flowers, seashells, just not happy with any of it. Tried to work on it more today, still no ideas. Do you have any? Let me know! 
I finished all the cards for January Birthdays, and printed out address labels for all the Birthdays from January until May! Woohoo! I was going to get a couple books of stamps at the grocery store today and put them on the envelopes, but it is snowing, again! In fact, my hubby is stuck in Bremerton, he and a friend decided to go flying this morning when it was nicer out, now they are stuck! Hope it gets better soon or I will have to drive to pick him up! YUK! And I don't even know where Bremerton is... guess I better google it and find out just in case!

One little word 2009....

I've decided my word for 2009 will be COMPLETE. If you don't know about this inspiring idea you can go to alli edwards blog and read more about it. (I don't know yet how to attach a direct link, but I am working on it :D)

My goals for the New Year are to complete the many projects I have started, complete moving into my house of 1 1/2 years, complete future projects in a timely manner, and complete my list of thoughts that I have written down so far this year. The main complete for today, is to complete all the birthday cards I need for the month of January, get them all ready to mail, most of the people who know me, know that I have a terrible time sending out holiday items in a timely manner! LOL! But after reading a few blogs this morning I am finding out I am not alone, and seems to be the norm for paper crafters! ;) Also to complete my Thank you cards from Christmas! 

The picture above is my 2009YIP for January 2. We had a terrible windstorm and a pine bough put a hole in the roof of the back patio. It bounced off the house roof and did break one of the cement tiles, so hubby had to go and caulk it back together!

New Blog Background!

For Christmas I received faster internet service! Woo Hoo! It used to take me half an hour to download one picture to my blog, and now it takes a couple seconds! So nice! I added this Blog background from shelscraps.blogspot.com I have been eyeing it for quite sometime but knew I would never get it to load on dial up! LOL! 

I also received a new photo editing program, but cannot get it loaded quite yet, looks like a new MAC laptop is headed my way too! :)  In the meantime you will have to suffer through some aweful pictures, but in return I will post more often! ;) 

I will be back soon with my GOALS for the New Year, my one little word for the year, I will leave you with my picture from January 1 for my 365 picture a day for 2009!

Christmas Tree treat boxes

Sorry, I could not get these to photograph well! They did not like with the flash and it has been so dark with the snow and rain that I could not get any natural light shots either... anyway, these are the treat boxes I made for Scott's co-workers, I filled them with chocolate kisses. They are pretty cute IRL!  I will be back with a post about my new Blog background!
