Flying over Bellingham Bay, Bellingham on the edge of the water with Mt Baker in the background! Stunning!
Mt Baker with Lake Whatcom.
A few of the islands, the position of the sun made it difficult for me to get clear pictures through the window.
Jeff flying tandem with us....
Another one of Jeff....

A stop for a few photos....
Then back in the plane, here we go!

Koko out for a little walk while the boys talk.... we will head for home, Jeff is headed to Seattle before heading home.
Here we go!
A quick photo op at Mt. Baker....
Flying over the Zuanich Park and the harbor....
Looking back over Boulevard Park and the pier, some islands in the background....
One last shot of Mt Baker and the bay....
Back at Bellingham Airport. A beautiful day and flight! I am trying to get the hubby to take me to the famous Spruce Goose for breakfast, maybe Sunday??? Hope you enjoyed YOUR flight with us today... wish you could have been with us for real!

Christmas Day 2009

We had a great day yesterday! We hope you ALL did too! We recieved so many wonderful goodies from our families! Santa brought me a new camera ;) I LOVE it! Thank you honey :D
We received these yummy slippers from Scott's sister Jody! Thank you! I LOVE them! See the yummy buttons? You know how I LOVE buttons.....
I had to beg and plead with the hubby to please take me for a flight over the islands ;D NOT REALLY much begging! It was a crystal clear day, the water is so blue this time of year, I just love flying over the islands with the water so blue and the sky so clear. We met up with one of Scott's friends at the airport who was flying solo while his wife and daughter were at the movies, so we flew 2 planes to Concrete, Darrington, and Arlington Washington.
They think it is pretty cool to have the planes parked on the grass.... we were the only ones out flying at all 3 airports we landed at.
I even opened the window to take this picture of Mt. Baker! Just gorgeous!
Thanks honey for a fabulous day flying! I love you!

Christmas Party #1

The handsome hubby and I were invited to a fancy Christmas dinner at one of the local Casinos, his flying BFF invited us. We had fun getting all dressed up for the evening, had some wonderful tasting food, and enlightening company! I hope we get invited again next year :)

Christmas Decor 2009

Welcome to the Farnes home... our upstairs fireplace mantel. I found a branch in the front yard that fell off one of the pine trees and brought it inside. I added some Dollar Tree snowflakes, Michael's $2.49 mini lights, 50% off pearl and crystal garland, a banner from a kit I bought from Treasury, and that will serve as our "tree" this year! LOL!

I am hanging the Christmas cards we receive from mini clothes pins that I have glued buttons, ribbon, or small words to. They hang in our dining room window.
I bought this garland from TJ Maxx for $4.99! I just wrapped it around the light fixture.
The dining room.... with the Christmas cards hanging on the curtains. We received the bouquet of flowers yesterday from Scott's mom and stepdad! Thank you they are perfect!
I did add the little JOY embellishment to them though ;) I couldn't resist. I bought the candy cane letters from Michael's on clearance 64 for $2.49, and just used some buttons to glue them together.
A few more candles, more cedar from the front yard and we are all ready for the holidays! The best part? I didn't have to get out ALL those Christmas boxes from storage, so putting it all away will be easy peasy!

James Street Estates 2009

Saturday morning we work up to fog. It is so pretty, we love the fog. It makes everything so quiet, and peaceful.
Saturday night we decided to head to one of our favorite places to eat.
Boomers drive in. Koko loves it, cause we eat in the car so she doesn't get lonely!
After dinner we decided to head to see the Christmas lights at James Street Estates, we hadn't been before. We missed the Lighted Boat parade this year, we were in Walla Walla, so this was a nice substitute.
Doesn't Koko look like she is enjoying the lights?
It was fun to see all the houses lit up, especially since we didn't put lights up this year.

Christmas is coming! Are you ready? I think we are!
Christmas cards-done :)
Grocery shopping-done :)
